Hi

Being fairly new I am struggling to figure this one out

I have om plans which I am following but I am using a slightly longer scale length (25.5") to the plan

Now is it just simply a case of moving down the bridge plate a bit or do I need to move the x bracing and what about moving the soundhole?

Cheers

The plans likely are based on an actual 25.4" scale length (.05" variance bridge placement)-- so I'd do nothing -- but either of the things you mention could also be done. Or make the bridge plate wider.

What Ken said. You are looking at a scale that is only going to be 0.1" longer. More than half that will be on the neck side of the scale (0-14th fret). I wouldn't bother adjusting anything for a 50th of an inch. You are going to locate the bridge/saddle based on the frets anyway; that small of a variation will not cause the bridge wings to miss the X or bridge pins to miss the bridge-plate.

Bryan: Just to be picky.........think that is a 20th of an inch.
